Some new shots of my GORGEOUS kids :)

okay - so of course I think they're gorgeous - but look at Hailee! She's so completely away from the baby phase and totally into the little girl-onto big girl phase! wow.

she is SO into the story she was telling me!

do you see this? He's telling me NO-NO!

wow, look at her...totally happy!

stinker! I asked for a smiling face and this is what she gave me! smart kid :)

awwww, looking up at Daddy to get his tools...

Let's see...I've updated my slide on the right. I almost messed up and put my layouts for February in there! That would've been bad.....no sneak peeks here!!

Darren's parents will be here on the 12th to visit for 8 days - very exciting times...it's been a while since they've been to Oklahoma - and they're willing to go to Hailee's Valentine Party at school so boy is she bursting at the seams!!!

There's a BIG event coming up at the Playground starting Feb 4th! Challenges, games, lots of fun, and in the end - PRIZES!!!! SO come check it out! I'm really hoping to get a lot of layouts done this time - I haven't been doing ANY challenges lately and kick myself for it...so bring it on!

okay - so that's all I have to report - OH WAIT! Darren will be putting the PINK paint on the office walls HOPEFULLY tomorrow - which means by Friday Hailee will be in her new room!!! yay! Progress. finally.

wow, I was able to get 3 layouts done the past couple days!! go me :) lol

This is Hailee with my grandma and grandpa. She was 13 months old. This was the only time she was able to be with my grandma. :(

this picture of Hailee was taken sometime last year I believe - so I'm guessing she's about 5.

My sister with the kids...Hailee is 5 and Braden is just 4 months old - wow time flies!

More 3 Bugs work

I made this cute little tag and sent it to Kristi. Just a thanks for all her help at the playground.

And this is a picture of a strand of icicle light that hung on our house for the holidays. This is the beginning of our ice storm...it became much worse. Used Fancy pants felt for the corner...it is sprayed with Glimmer Mist and a Heidi Swapp acrylic snowflake is attached in the middle! TFL!

3 Bugs in a Rug!!!!!

Holy cow! I just LOVED the Luke & Lola line I was given for my January products! 3 Bugs is definitely on my "faves" list right now! It has sheets perfect for boys AND girls....and isn't that just perfect for my kids???? Here are the projects I uploaded today...there'll be more on the 20th!

Thanks to 3bugs for being a great sponsor, I had so much fun!!!

oh, and if you have some of their stuff in your stash, then head over the Playground and enter our January contest!!!

here is a tag I made for Hailee's backpack...the cool thing? the tag is a diecut!! all I did was add stickles, a cut out flower, and the letter H!!

Here is a layout featuring my Hailee! Such a pretty girl....I used glimmer mist on the white paper for sparkle...she approved, lol.

And my Bubby. Hailee calls him Bub. She saw this picture and laughed at "silly Bub" so that's what I called it....and that's what the journaling is about.

Happy Birthday, Hailee Bug!

Today my little Munch turned 6....bittersweet. She's growing up, and we're so proud of her. But where did my baby go?

Apparently it was "the bestest birthday day ever". lol It was the best Christmas last week so we must be doing something right! lol

Today was just a day with us....we'll do the "party" on the 12th...after people have recovered from the holiday chaos.

Here are a few pictures from today...opening gifts and enjoying her ice cream cone at McDonalds.

Pageframes....and cards.

Well, today is upload day at the playground. This month the design team is being spoiled by Pageframes! wow! their stuff is so cool...it scares me! I'm not creative enough, lol. But, here are my first 2 creations....the rest won't be revealed until the 20th! The first one is their clear bell...I added some Basic Grey paper, ribbon, buttons, and a rubon....too cute! The second, I traced the snowflake with stickles! I just couldn't alter the actual snowflake, because I only get once chance!

Also, I have all 75 or so cards DONE! All I need to get are the cute little Christmas stamps from the post office and these puppies are GONE! yay! I must say, I was really scared about making them, but the came together nicely that it really didn't take as long as I was expecting. So, I'll probably do it again next year! lol

whew!

We spent HOURS preparing for our FAMILY Christmas photo! I told Darren I would not share until all cards are assumed to be received, but wow, what a day. We did all the "prep work" while Braden napped, so we were ready when he was...but by then Hailee was worn out (okay, it could be due to the 100+ fever she has along with a sore throat), but we got it. It took almost 2 hours to get the proper camera settings, family arrangement, and timer figured out...but when the time came, we only took about 15-20 shots before we had the declared "winner"!

So I've printed 54 pictures, matted them to paper (will trim them down tomorrow!), printed 54 greetings and matted them to paper (yes, Darren helped with all of this and I am forever grateful!), will cut those tomorrow too. So, I get to put it all together tomorrow and maybe, just maybe, I'll actually be on time and have my cards mailed by the 5th!!!!

WAHOO!!!

Test shots

Darren needed to test the settings on his camera so that we're ready when it's time to do the family Christmas photo. Hailee was more than willing to be the "test dummy", Braden needed some bribery, but a couple shots turned out good enough for me to put down on paper!

and this one just cracks me up! This is what it's like trying to get Braden to cooperate when he's tired and hungry!!!!

oh yeah I scrapped!

I did a layout! yay! not a card or anything else...but a layout that I like. Fun stuff! the paper is from the snow globe line by reminisce - go get some!

Happy Halloween!

Don't they just make you SCREAM - they're so SCARY CUTE!

Here's the email we sent out to family about our evening - it's so much easier just to cut and paste! :)

Hi all,

Look what we found wandering the streets of Broken Arrow! The "Pirate Master" and her "sidekick" got enough candy to rot both their mouths as well as ours! Hailee had a blast and for ONCE we had to say "slow down and wait for your brother!". Usually she is in super slow mode which we call "Hailee Speed", but not when there's candy involved! At our first stop Braden got terrified from our neighbor Lloyd (Braden has been afraid of him since he was very small and the sight of him sends him balling and running for mom). After about 5-6 houses Braden got the hang of it and caught on to the fact that "if I walk up to this strange house, they will give me candy"! We couldn't keep him off the porch benches, messing with the decorations and trying to open the door before they answered! Then once they opened the door he tried to get inside & was helping himself to the candy bowls. It was a fun night for all of us.

something random...

alright Katie.....random it is.

I hate needles.

I'm going to go make a latte right now!

the picture here, is what I'm going to scrap for Shellie's "warm, fuzzy, cozy" challenge. lol

Happy 11th & DANG she's cute!

Happy 11th Anniversary to my Darren. We've made it a lot longer than some people thought we would. I love you more and more everyday and thank you for the life we've made together.

okay, mush over :)

Look at this KID! Wow! I'm so lucky to call her mine...okay okay "ours". I really didn't know if I wanted to keep the pictures...her bangs are messy (come on, what kind of photographer can't take 5 seconds to fluff some bangs) and it's not totally centered. But it's such a cute smile, and the background is great (yes, I chose the brown!). So...we're keeping it and calling it a "normal 5 year old photograph". Sorry for the glare on the white shirt - I have got to learn how to fix that after I scan!

Brag time!

I had a conference with Hailee's teacher Wednesday. It was wonderful! I really love her teacher, and Hailee seems to be learning a lot.

Mrs. V said "Hailee is my best artist/drawer in the class. I can always tell her work from the other students because she always has so much detail." That made me happy. We knew she loved to color and draw but didn't realize how well she did with it.

She got mostly S's (satisfactory) in all "subjects". A couple P's (progressing)...but that's good. 2 were in areas that the class has only covered a small portion (like letter sounds) and the teacher can't say for sure that the kids know them all since she hasn't covered them all. One area was talking out of turn. lol Hailee will giggle with Gavin (sheesh, a boy) while the teacher is talking...but she stops immediately when the teacher says her name and it's not a daily thing. So that needs work. Oh, and she will only tell you that her birthday is "when it snows" and not the day so we need to work on that. lol

She said Hailee does really well with the other kids, is quiet (yeah right!), and can work through "arguments" with the kids when they come up. Mrs. V says "Hailee is quiet, and may look fragile, but she has some fire in her!". Boy she has no idea how much fire Hailee has! lol

It was great, and the teacher seems to agree with me that if Hailee wants to spend her free time with crayons and pens, then let her. That's her outlet and what makes her happy....and it's even helping her penmanship (I was amazed at the other artwork on the walls from the other kids...Hailee really IS advanced in that department). Last year her teacher would tell her to do her free time, but when Hailee wanted to color everyday she wouldn't let her. That really bothered me. So now I'm happy, and so is Hailee!

Now for Braden! wow, he's really starting to talk! He says "nana" for banana, "ni-ni" for night-night, "Nanny" for Sammy, "I-eee" for ice, hi, hot, yummy, daddy, mommy, and is sort of saying "a-eee" for Hailee. Plus he's doing really well with his signs. He's remembering to sign "more" when he wants more and not just grunt. Plus he signs "please" and "thank you" at the right times! Darren and I have noticed he's not learning as early as Hailee did, but all you have to do is show him once or twice and he can do it. So what was I thinking when I showed him how to climb a box??? The other day he climbed Sammy's toy basket and was sitting in the middle of our end table. Monkey I tell ya.

Thanks for letting me brag!

the new model for STARBUCKS!

They couldn't get a cuter model if they tried! lol When mom was here we went to Bass Pro Shops so she could get some things to take home for Joe. The highlight, for me, of that store is the Starbucks. Of course we stopped during our browsing for latte's and mocha's. Mom wanted to get the kids something so she had the guy whip up a coffee-free strawberry frap. Well Hailee wasn't all that thrilled but Braden LOVED it! So, the scrapbooker I am snapped this shot. But my little camera doesn't do that great indoors so it's dark...but you get the idea anyway!

Hi.

I'm here. I either have nothing to say or I'm not in the mood to say anything. I know I need to get more stuff uploaded from Arbuckle, but I really am not motivated to go through the whole process! sorry - lazy days here in Broken Arrow. I've done a lot cleaning and decluttering lately and frankly, I'm worn out!

So hi to all who read this, I know it's not many - and I'll be back with a more interesting post soon!
